Data Stored Locally on Your Device

UK Chart History stores the following data locally on your device:

• Viewing History: Records of which tracks you have viewed within the app
• Playback History: Records of which tracks you have played
• Favourites: Tracks you have saved as favourites
• Preferences: Your personalisation settings and preferred artists/decades
• Cached Data: Artist information cached to improve performance

This data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

Apple Music

If you choose to play tracks, the App uses Apple's MusicKit framework to stream music. This requires an Apple Music subscription. Apple's privacy policy governs the use of Apple Music: apple.com/legal/privacy

iTunes Search API

The App fetches album artwork from Apple's iTunes Search API. This is a public API that does not require authentication. No personal data is transmitted.

Wikipedia

Artist biographies may be fetched from Wikipedia's public API. No personal data is transmitted.

MusicBrainz

Artist information may be fetched from the MusicBrainz public API. No personal data is transmitted.

Data Storage and Security

All user data (favourites, preferences, history) is stored locally on your device using SQLite databases. This data:

• Remains on your device at all times
• Is not backed up to iCloud (unless you have enabled device backup)
• Is deleted when you uninstall the App
• Can be reset within the App via Settings

Children's Privacy

Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App contains no user accounts, no social features, and collects no personal data.

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it:

• Access: View your favourites and history within the App
• Deletion: Reset your preferences and history via the App settings, or uninstall the App to remove all data
• Portability: Your data exists only on your device
